About this camp

Play-Well TEKnologies Orange County Summer Camps offer a hands-on, minds-on learning experience where children engage with STEM concepts through LEGO®-inspired projects. Campers build and program robots using systems like LEGO® Spike Prime®, tackling design challenges and exploring engineering principles. Activities include constructing custom LEGO® creations, designing secure habitats, and building various machines that traverse land, sea, and air. Students gain problem-solving and critical thinking skills, learn engineering and architectural vocabulary, and develop new building techniques. The curriculum is flexible, adjusting to different interests and experience levels, with instructors providing advanced challenges for returning students. The focus is on understanding how projects work and the building techniques involved, fostering creativity and collaboration in a fun environment.

What a typical day looks like

Campers typically work on two different engineering and architectural projects per day, starting with an introduction and presentation by the instructor, followed by a design and building assignment using thousands of LEGO® parts.
