The ICS Summer Academy's Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) program offers high school students an immersive, two-week experience exploring the foundations of machine learning. Participants engage in hands-on analytics projects using real-life scientific data, learning to formulate machine learning models and utilize common tools for problem-solving. The curriculum covers key machine learning algorithms, methods, and concepts through both theoretical (paper) and practical (programming) approaches, focusing on classification, clustering, and regression testing. The program culminates in a team capstone project based on a real-world machine learning application, which students present at a closing symposium.
