About this camp

Destination Science offers engaging STEM summer camps for young scientists aged 5-11, focusing on hands-on activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Each week, campers participate in 15 different STEM activities, including make-and-take projects, creative challenges, and games. The program is structured around three daily Science Stations: Discover & Build, Explore & Create, and Engineer & Innovate. Children work in small groups, encouraging teamwork and collaboration, while also engaging in individual activities to develop perseverance and critical thinking. Campers take home their science creations daily or at the end of the week, extending the learning and fun beyond camp hours. The curriculum is designed to make science exciting and accessible, helping children understand scientific concepts and the scientific method through real-life, often messy and silly, experiments.

What a typical day looks like

A typical day includes three Science Stations for hands-on experiments, two Outdoor Action Stations for games and physical activity, and a Camp Rally to conclude the day with discussions and songs.
