Students develop authentic, hypothesis-driven science fair projects using modern AI techniques, structured to support IUSD and OC Science Fair participation.
The AI Research Bootcamp (IPSF) is a research-focused course designed for high school students interested in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to build science fair–ready projects. The program guides students through identifying a meaningful problem, designing experiments, and generating initial results that prepare them for participation in the IUSD Science Fair and OC Science Fair in the fall. Students will learn core AI and ML concepts and apply them through hands-on experimentation and guided research. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, data-driven analysis, and real-world applications. By the end of the course, students will have a clearly defined project, experimental approach, and preliminary findings, providing a strong foundation for competitive science fair submission and future research endeavors.
Each day features a mix of lectures, hands-on coding exercises, and guided research, culminating in a well-defined science fair project.
This bootcamp is ideal for high school students with an interest in AI and Machine Learning who want to develop a science fair project.

Orange County STEM Summer Camps is a free directory service that aggregates publicly available information about STEM programs, summer camps, and educational opportunities. We do not operate, sponsor, endorse, accredit, certify, or have any affiliation with the camps and programs listed here unless explicitly stated.
All program details — including pricing, session dates, instructor credentials, curriculum, safety policies, refund terms, transportation, meal arrangements, and admission requirements — are sourced from publicly available information and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Listings are partially generated and updated using automated AI-assisted research, which can occasionally produce inaccurate details. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for independently verifying every detail directly with the camp before enrolling, paying, or relying on any information shown here.
